A Public Recycling Drop-off Centre has been constructed and is operational at the Eco Park. The public drops in all acceptable recyclable waste for free. The waste received here includes glass, PET (plastic) Cardboards, Paper, Aluminum cans and E-waste. Somarelang Tikologo focusses on recycling glass bottles, PET bottles and cans with a dedicated team of recycling staff collecting throughout the week. We export an average of 180 tons of crushed glass to South Africa per month for recycling. Debswana and Distell Drinks have been a significant sponsors of this program purchasing a t ton collection truck and a one ton crane truck respectively.
